Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the oldest methods of healing in the world.  Its goal is to establish a smooth flow of qi throughout the body.  Acupuncture accomplishes this by inserting hair-thin needles into specific points on the body.
In Five Element Acupuncture, we work with the three levels of energy:  body, mind and spirit, and the five elements of nature:  wood, fire, earth, metal, and water.  All of these levels, and elements of nature need to be balanced and free flowing to achieve total health.

This holistic healing is often combined with Chinese herbs, Medical Qigong, or both based on each individual's needs.  Each of these treatments are tailored to your personalized needs.  Therefore, the number and location of needles, and frequency and duration of sessions are based the client's condition.

Some of the conditions that Acupuncture addresses include: Allergies , Arthritic / Joint Pain , Asthma , Anxiety , Depression , Digestive Issues , General Well-Being , Headaches , Insomnia , Muscle Pain / Fibromyalgia , Nerve Pain / Sciatica , Pre- and Post-Surgery , Stress , Weight Management , and Women's and Men's Health .

Chinese Herbs

Chinese herbs are often customized and used to support an individual's health either for acute illness or for chronic conditions. These substances come from the medicinal aspect of plants, minerals, shells, inserts, or animals.  The medicinal parts are harvested or extracted, and then used in teas, pills, capsules, lozenges, powders, ointments, and liquid tinctures.
We only offer the finest herb products.  These Chinese Herbs meet rigorous standards of testing and clinical effectiveness.  Our herb products are selected from companies that comply with Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) standards, or International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements.

Some of the issues that Chinese Herbs address include: Allergies , Asthma , Colds / Flu / Infections , Digestive Issues , Headaches , Insomnia , Pain , Skin Conditions , Women's and Men's Health , and many more .

Medical Qigong

A medical qigong practitioner can regulate an individual's qi, and suggest self-treatment exercises in movement, meditation, and breathing.  Seeing a medical qigong practitioner and doing qigong exercises at home help individuals enhance the flow of qi in their bodies.  Therefore, medical qigong supports the energy that is necessary for our survival and destiny of who we are as individuals.
The general benefits include: maintaining health, healing the body, calming the mind, and reconnecting with the spirit.  More specifically, Medical Qigong can: Improve physical strength and energy; Help to relieve pain, illness, and physical problems; Strengthen the immune system; Maintain and improve the state of physical fitness and mental well being; Provide a feeling of calm, comfort, balance, and rejuvenation; and Aid in increasing longevity and overall good health.
Some of the conditions that Medical Qigong can address are: Digestive disorders , Gallstones , Headaches , Heart conditions including palpations , and hypertension , Kidney diseases including kidney stones , Liver conditions , Pancreatitis / abdominal pain , and Urogenital disorders .
